Ski good—get paid. That's the story for Lake Tahoe local Noah Gaffney, who just secured $1000 in GoPro bucks for an impressive double backflip.

Gaffney laced his stunt off a cliff called Goodwill's, located on Palisades Tahoe's piste. Tap the video below to play.

Gaffney put this double down earlier this season, schlepping himself not once but three times up to Goodwill's—the cliff, accessible from the Granite Peak lift, requires about 20 minutes of hiking.

Worth the effort? No doubt. Gaffney's double backflip off Goodwill's is presumed to be the first, and notching NBDs at Palisades Tahoe, a resort chock-full of talented freeskiers, is no small feat.

Snagging $1000 doesn't hurt, either. GoPro dished out cash this season through various award programs, like the Line of the Winter and the #GoProSnow Challenge. Thousands of dollars were up for grabs across these programs. And the party isn't just for pros, either. Anyone can get in on the fun.

However, for the more average skier, award-winning skiing might be outside the boundaries of "fun." I don't know about you, but something tells me my hospital bills would exceed the GoPro checks if I tried to compete with the likes of Gaffney.
